When you think of extreme sports, what do you think of? What have you tried?
Bungee jumping, skydiving, freediving, ultra trail running - these are all cool, but today let's talk about something even cooler: wingsuit flying.
This extreme sport combines courage, strength, skill and a sense of adventure.
Wingsuit flying is said to be inspired by bats. After noticing that by opening and tightening their wings, bats could hover and dive freely in the air, some clever people created a bat-like wingsuit. Made of special nylon material with great stretch and toughness, these wingsuits enable brave people to put their courage to the test and soar through the sky, just like a bat.
With nothing powering the suit beyond the wind and human manoeuvring, wingsuit flying is the ultimate combination of skill and thrill.
When it comes to the pinnacle of wingsuit flying, look no further than Jeb Corliss - a man of extraordinary courage, who wears the global crown of wingsuit flying.
Born in 1976, Jeb Corliss lives in California and is a professional skydiver and spot jumper. He's flown all over the world, including at landmarks like the Eiffel Tower in Paris, the Space Needle in Seattle, the Christ the Redeemer statue in Brazil, the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur, and Tianmen Mountain in China.
Jeb's adventures began in 1999 and continued through to the recent World Championships of Wingsuit Flying at Tianmen Mountain, China. Danger has been a constant, but it hasn't deterred him from taking on these challenges.
Of the sport, Jeb Corliss once said, "I know 100% that this sport is going to kill me. That makes me take it very seriously."
Brave Your Adventure is what the Amazfit T-Rex Series is all about. And since May 2023, Amazfit has been partnered with Jeb Corliss, who wears the flagship Amazfit T-Rex Ultra outdoor watch during his competitions and conquests - where time and time again, the T-Rex Ultra has shown itself to be a perfect fit for Jeb, perfectly suiting the intensity and rhythm of his constant adventures.
Not all of us can be Jeb Corliss, and not everyone can learn or master the challenges of extreme sports, but that doesn't stop the spirit of adventure from inspiring us all.
Maybe you can take a hike right now. Or dare to try something you've always wanted to try, but haven't done before.
Always believe in yourself and keep moving forward. Brave your adventure!
